Google has unveiled Gemini, merging its Bard and Duet Artificial Intelligence (AI) services into a single, multimodal AI powerhouse.

This strategic move aligns with Google’s advanced AI model, offering users a more comprehensive and powerful experience across multiple platforms.

Following Microsoft’s Copilot launch, Google joins the AI rebranding game with Gemini.

Gemini isn’t just a new name; it’s a gateway to enhanced AI capabilities. This unified platform offers:

Android App: Take AI on the go with a dedicated Gemini app, initially available on Android devices. iOS users can access Gemini through the Google app.

Advanced Version: Unlock next-level AI with Gemini Advanced, powered by Google’s latest Ultra 1.0 model. Expect deeper conversations, improved context awareness, and expertise in complex tasks like coding and creative collaboration.

Multimodal Magic: Gemini leverages its multimodal nature, understanding and generating text, code, audio, images, and video, for a richer and more intuitive user experience.

Google’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sundar Pichai emphasized in a blog post that Gemini represents the culmination of cutting-edge technology.

Available in 40 languages, Gemini offers a conversational overlay on displays, enriching your interaction with information.

“Set it as your default assistant on Android, replacing Google Assistant, and enjoy familiar features like making calls and controlling smart home devices,” Mr Pichai said.

Initially launching in English for the US, Gemini plans to expand its reach to more languages like Japanese and Korean, as well as additional regions. This global approach underscores Google’s ambitions for Gemini’s impact.
