Orange Social Venture Prize Now Accepting Applications for 14th Edition in Africa and the Middle East

The 14th edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) in Africa and the Middle East is currently accepting applications, aiming to support social innovation and foster entrepreneurship in the region.

Since its establishment in 2011, OSVP has acknowledged and rewarded innovative startup initiatives leveraging new technologies to create positive societal impacts in areas such as education, healthcare, e-commerce, agriculture, and the environment.

This edition welcomes entries from the 17 countries covered by Orange’s operational reach in the region.

The selection process comprises two stages: an initial round of applications until May to identify three winners from each of the 17 Orange subsidiaries, who will then advance to the international phase.

Following this, 10 finalists will compete for the International Grand Prize, while five will contend for the International Women’s Prize.

In October, a distinguished panel of tech and entrepreneurship experts from Africa and the Middle East will select the winners.

The chosen participants, drawn from the 15 projects nominated by Orange Group employees, stand to receive prizes, including EUR25,000 for the first-place winner, EUR15,000 for the runner-up, EUR10,000 for the third-place winner, and EUR20,000 for the recipient of the International Women’s Prize.
