Latitude59, the Estonian startup and technology event, has added pre-events Uganda and Zambia before its Kenya startup pitch competitions later this year.
The organization is holding pre-events in Uganda and Zambia for the first time, ahead of its Kenya conference.
According to Org, the aim is to engage local startup communities and strengthen connections between startup ecosystems across the continent. Its flagship event in Tallinn this May brought together more than 3,000 participants from over 70 countries.
“Our international initiatives are driven by a genuine ambition to bring Estonia’s success story to the world and connect innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors, creating opportunities for the next global success stories to emerge,” said Org.
Latitude59 will hold in Nairobi, Kenya, for the fourth consecutive year on December 3–4, bringing together African startup founders, international investors, and technology companies operating across African and global markets to connect, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for international growth.
Last year’s event attracted around 2,000 participants, and organizers expect a similar turnout this year, including 600 investors from Africa, Europe, the Nordics, and Asia.
Latitude59 is also returning to Asia for the third consecutive year. On October 28, it will host Singapore x New Nordics Night of Innovation & Investment as part of the SWITCH technology and innovation conference in Singapore. The event will bring together startup and investment communities from Northern Europe, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.
Singapore x New Nordics Night of Innovation & Investment is organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Estonia in Singapore, Nordic Singapore Innovation Days, and the Swedish Energy Agency as an official side event of SWITCH.
Latitude59 flagship event takes place in Tallinn, where this year’s 14th edition brought together more than 3,000 participants from over 70 countries, including 800 startup representatives and 60 investors.
Latitude59 has also expanded its international presence, having previously hosted events in Singapore, Kenya, and the South African cities of Cape Town and Johannesburg.
