Applications are open for the Startup Wise Guys SaaS Accelerator Program for Africa, offering early-stage digital B2B SaaS startups from East and West Africa an opportunity to level up their businesses.
The accelerator program offers an enticing benefit to startups, with funding of up to €100,000 for 12% equity (€70,000 cash + €30,000 program).
Selected startups also have the potential for follow-on investments.
The accelerator program aims to provide tailored guidance, support, and funding to selected startups, giving them the tools to revolutionize their go-to-market strategy and excel in the competitive market.
The program boasts a lineup of world-class mentors and experts who will be available to offer weekly one on one support in areas like sales, marketing, and pitching.
Additionally, participants will have access to a vast network of like-minded founders, practitioners, and investors, creating potential value-driven partnerships.
Startup Wise Guys is particularly interested in startups from Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, and Ghana, operating in the fields of FinTech, AgriTech, and ClimaTech.
“To be eligible for the program, startups are required to have a minimum viable product (MVP), at least two co-founders or team members, and show signs of initial customer traction or revenues,’ the accelerator noted.
The program is set to commence on October 9th, 2023, and applications are open until September 7th, 2023.
The SaaS accelerator program is divided into four modules, each focusing on different aspects of startup development.
The first module, spanning weeks 1 to 5, revolves around setting key performance indicators (KPIs), company building, and a Market Engineering Sprint. During this period, startups will also have an onsite experience, where they can engage in team-building activities, live workshops, and networking events.
Module 2, weeks 7 to 10, centres on communication, sales, and product development. This phase will include workshops on storytelling, pitch deck preparation, product demos and Progress Day, where startups can share their progress with stakeholders and receive valuable feedback.
In the following modules, weeks 12 to 20, startups will receive one-on-one mentorship to address their individual needs. Module 3 will focus on sales and marketing, while Module 4 will concentrate on fundraising and investor readiness.
The program culminates in Graduation Day, where the startups’ achievements will be celebrated.
After completing the program, participants will still have access to the support and resources of the Startup Wise Guys community channels, including fundraising support for future investment rounds.
The Startup Wise Guys SaaS Accelerator Program presents a unique opportunity for African startups to gain the necessary skills, mentorship, and funding to scale their businesses across the continent.
