Orange Kenya has today rolled out its 3G network service in Eldoret town as part of its strategy to connect all counties to its internet.
The firm said its 3G network footprint in Kenya now covers Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa and Eldoret.
According to Company CEO Mickael Ghossein, “Our 3G network footprint in Kenya now covers Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa and Eldoret and will progressively move towards other areas of the country.”
The firm aslo anounced it wil offer 100% data bonus on all Internet bundles from 20MB to 20GB. The offer will be available countrywide to both Internet on mobile and Internet everywhere (modem) customers. Valid from April 25 to July 25, subscribers will be able to use the bonus data between 10pm and 6am, daily.
For customers to subscribe to the offer, they will be required to dial #123#, select option 3 and then 2 for the offers from their Internet enabled phone. Customers can check their usage by dialing *131# on their mobile phone.
With the Eldoret 3G network, Orange Telkom Kenya is looking at increasing its market share backed by the fact that it has the best 3G network in the country in terms of quality of service, a point that was highlighted by the industry regulator, the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK).
