Meet the HTC One X10, it’s a phone that has the premium look and feel of the HTC One line but has an affordable price tag.
It comes with a metallic body, and fully glass front. The front also houses a 5.5 inch Super LCD screen with Gorilla Glass for protection. The fingerprint was moved to the back unlike in the HTC 10.
Despite the lack of stereo speakers, Boom sound audio is still on board via the earphones. Yes, the 3.5mm jack is on board. It seems HTC backtracked on their decision to omit it in future phones after skipping it on the HTC U Ultra.
HTC is betting big on battery life this time round, the One X10 comes with a gigantic 4000mAh battery. On the photography department, we have a 16MP rear camera with F2.0 Aperture, a dedicated pro mode but the video only maxs out at 1080p. The selfie is catered for by an 8MP camera with an F2.2 aperture. There’s a mode that lets you take pictures with both the cameras at the same time.
HTC is one of the the big manufacturers that has started using Mediatek processors to keep the cost of their products low. These processors are battery efficient and have decent performance, they are the ones we find in all Infinix and Tecno phones. In the HTC One X10, we have the Mediatek Helio P10 coupled with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage with 2TB expansion allowance.
The phone is currently only available in Russia and is going for RUB 19,990 (KES 35,500/ $355).We have our fingers crossed for Africa availability.
