Africa’s Next Top Model season 1 finale was held today and contestant Aamito Stacie Lagum from Uganda emerged the the proud winner.
Aamito beat her fellow top 3 mates – Michaela Pinto from Angola and Opeyemi Awoyemi from Nigeria to emerge the winner.
She gets 1-year modeling contract with New York based modelling agency DNA Model Management, a product endorsement deal with P&G, a 1-year contact as an ambassador for South African Tourism, SNAPP, Etisalat, Verve, and a cash prize of $50,000.
After an emotional, 9-week contest, the final 3 were whisked away to New York City, where they had to impress the high-powered agents at DNA Model Management.
Aamito now stands as the first-ever Africa’s Next Top Model.
