MTN South Africa customers are bound to have a swell time making international calls as the telecommunication company has o\plans to make the cost easier for customers to manage their budgets beginning 1st March.

“As a customer-centric organization, MTN is committed to providing call rates that are not only cost-effective but also easier to understand. For far too long, the cellphone market has been needlessly complex for end-users,” said Brian Gouldie, chief marketing officer at MTN South Africa.

The new standardised call rates apply to all MTN customers throughout the day. There is no need to join as the rates will automatically come into effect. Customers can view the new standardized rates by going here: or by dialing *111*2# on their mobile phones.

“With these international call rates, which start at 99 cents per minute charged at per second rate, our customers will always know exactly what they will be charged irrespective of the plan they are on. This sees MTN making calls to anywhere in the world more affordable to its customers,” adds Gouldie.
