Dimension Data’s KES3.052 billion AccessKenya Group has appointed Kris Senanu as Deputy Chief Executive Officer beginning his dual role as both Managing Director of AccessKenya’s internet business and its Deputy CEO, in a regional expansion drive.
With his over 20 years in the telecommunications and internet service industry, 13 years of which Senanu has worked for AccessKenya, the firm believes he is better placed to help it rollout wireless service expansion throughout the country to bring 15 new Counties onto AccessKenya’s wireless, metro and national fibre infrastructure this year.
Confirming the move, Jonathan Somen, AccessKenya’s Group Managing Director and CEO,“Senanu has great experience and skills to lead this expansion, our goal is to maintain our position as the leading provider of Corporate Internet and IT Solutions as we push forward with our strategic growth,”
Dimension Data acquired AccessKenya to help it expand in sub–Saharan Africa. Apart from the appointment, the firm is reviewing and evaluating the market for suitable opportunities that can enhance its business model.
“We are looking at new products to meet customer demand. We are also extending our fibre cable in Nairobi and the city limits, as well as in the Northern and Southern Coast of Kenya.” Commented Somen.
AccessKenya was launched in 2000 by brothers Jonathan Somen and David Somen who are both co-founders and executive director on its board.
