Microsoft has shown off a new version of its Surface tablet that is going on sale in the USA with AT T.
Microsoft is currently boasting of the its new version of the Surface tablet. This device, the Surface tablet 2 is a 64GB and has a mobile broadband-ready version of Surface 2 that will be available to purchase for US$679.
“Many of you have told me that you’d like the capability to be online, even when Wi-Fi isn’t available, so you can work, play, share, and communicate wherever you are,” Panos Panay, Microsoft’s corporate vice president in charge of Surface, said in a blog post released ahead of the announcement. “In simple terms, we are continuously being asked for a Surface that allows you to use mobile broadband.”
Major upgrades on this device include: Increased speed and battery life , the dual-position kickstand, Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 RT and Outlook 2013 RT, the full HD screen, the upgraded front- and rear-facing cameras and full-size USB 3.0 port.

- Windows RT Operating System
- Quad-core processor
- Front- and rear-facing 720p HD video cameras
Surface 2 (AT&T 4G LTE) will also include 200 GB of free OneDrive (formerly known as SkyDrive) storage for two years.
As for now, the tablet is only available in the USA. Distribution to other places is not yet known.
