World renown Startup Sauna, a volunteer-driven program that operates mainly in Northern and Eastern Europe and Russia is coming to Kenya to help build startups in the region.

Coming to Nairobi for the first time, in collaboration with iHub, the two will co-host a two day startup coaching and networking event on 8th and 9th May 2014 at the iHub, free of charge.

According to Startup Sauna, Startups all over the world share similar challenges and concerns, but local realities also provide unique opportunities to leapfrog conventional thinking and solve global challenges. Innovation comes from the fusion of ideas and the event will encourage the mixing of Nordic and African outlooks.’

You know you have what it takes if your start-up has this;

  • Potential to scale globally
  •  A talented team
  •  At least a working demo / prototype

If you feel you have this hurry up and register here:

During the event there will be a special stream to highlight the importance of social impact entrepreneurship and agri start-ups. The winning start-up will be invited to join the coach on a safari drive and picnic lunch in the Nairobi National Park on Saturday 10th May.

The most important thing in this coaching season is the advice and the feedback you will get from the highly experienced Finnish and Kenyan coaches.

Keep sharpening your innovation because Start-up Sauna will stay in contact with the winning team over the next six months and, if deemed ready, they may be invited to attend the Start-up Sauna autumn program in Finland; you never know!
