After hitting over 3000 hotels on site, Africa Internet Holding (AIH)’s Jovago, an online booking portal has launched in South Sudan, in a move the firm says will bring easy and transparent hotel booking to an even wider audience across the continent.
According to Marek Zmyslowski, managing director of Jovago in a statement: “South Sudan has a growing hotel industry that shows great potential. It has a wide range of high-quality hotels and as its tourism industry continues to grow, Jovago will be able to provide its customers with an efficient and secure way to book hotels in the region online. This latest expansion underlines our prevailing success in Africa and marks another exciting chapter for Africa’s most popular online booking platform”
Jovago aims to make the online hotel booking process far easier and more transparent for its users. Jovago prides itself on this transparency, since each local hotel is thoroughly vetted by Jovago’s staff to ensure that all details are accurate and to ensure the quality of the hotel’s services. This attention to detail has already created a much more organised and trustworthy portfolio of the great hotels on offer in countries such as Nigeria, Kenya and Senegal, with over 3000 local listings.
With this latest expansion into South Sudan, Jovago plans to bring the best booking experience online to even more customers across Africa. Although it already boasts the widest range of African hotels, Jovago plans to add even more listings to its site as it continues to expand.
In Nigeria, Jovago has had to fight it on with Hotels.ng with both sites saying they are the best but at the end of the day, customers only care about a simple-to-use product or one with better user experience and great customer service.
Speaking to TechMoran ealier, Marek said, “We focus 100% on delivering the biggest, verified inventory in Africa with the best service possible. No one works as closely with the hotel management as Jovago, which places us way ahead of our competition in terms of providing the best customer satisfaction.
It’s operation in the country however might be hit by the internal political clashes that are costing the lives of many.
