A new site dubbed Movietym.com wants to be Africa’s biggest go-to site for downloading free movies, TV series, Live TV Streaming, as well as serving as platform/engaging community where discussions about the entertainment world is undertaken.
The Accra-based firm allows free user account creation, free access to forums and chat rooms and messaging, free access to Live TV streaming and constant updates of latest movies & TV series.
According to the founder, the site is still under development and promises great user experience and more movies and TV series to choose from.
“There are no annoying popups. No redundant/broken links, just quick downloads. I have uploaded to third party sites, but simply going further to give something extra like providing forums where people can chat and exchange views. I added a live TV broadcast session for people to stream one of our country’s main TV station from around the globe and the a chat room where users can interact.”
On questions of legality, MovieTym.com says it’s in compliance with 17 U.S.C. § 512 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and ready to answer anyone who thinks they have infringed their rights.
“If your copyrighted material has been posted on MovieTym.com or if links to your copyrighted material are returned through our search engine and you want this material removed, you must provide a written communication that details the information listed in the following section,” says the site, adding. “Please be aware that you will be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) if you misrepresent information listed on our site that is infringing on your copyrights. We suggest that you first contact an attorney for legal assistance on this matter.
They team says they do not host any files on their servers but all point to third party websites and so MovieTym.com does not accept responsibility for content hosted on third party websites and does not have any involvement in the downloading or uploading of movies. They just post links available in Internet.
Movietym.com is a serice of Ghana’s SoftReckon LLC and is similar to a new service dubbed Downloadrare.com which allows users to stream movies and TV sries online for free.
