Seedstars World Looking for Nairobi’s Best Startup

10487544_658493700903923_3373308940600926272_nSeedstars World, an exclusive startup competition in emerging markets is set to take place this Thursday July 3rd at the iHub to name Kenya’s best startup.

The competition only invites high quality startups to take part in the pitching competition of ten minutes (6 min pitch, 4 min Q&A) per startup where a winner is invited to participate in the global competion and stand chances to pitch at the global competition in Switzerland and stand chance to be the Seedstars World Best Startup.

Seedstars World only invites pre-selected startups and  after ptiching, the Nairobi winner will be invited to Switzerland to represent his startup and country. The founders also stand chance to meet with European investors, expand their business and connect with other great founders. The Final Winner gets an equity investment of up to USD 500’000 while the regional winners get other cool prizes.

There is also free media coverage both locally and internationally and possibility of partnerships with suppliers, B2B customers, peer companies or potential acquirers. The competition only aims at for profit startups that have been around for a maximum of 2 years since founding date. They should not have raised over $0.5m in funding and should have a Minimum Viable Product.

Last year, Jooist emerged the best startup in Nairobi region to represent Kenya at the global competition.
