Naspers’ Konga.com Turns 2 | Says Thank You to Customers

In a statement, Sim Shagaya, CEO Konga.com, said: “As Konga turns two, we wish to express our gratitude to all our customers. In just two years, Konga has been able to revolutionize the way Nigerians buy and sell online. The transition from a being just a retailer to a marketplace that provides economic opportunity has also been a successful one as Konga now features thousands of merchants selling products on the site. It has been a great two years, and for this, we say ‘thank you’!”

Everyday for two weeks, Konga.com is setting the celebration in motion with a special customer gift where customers stand a chance of winning N25,000 when they shop using the Konga Android App. At the same time, the Konga anniversary sale will kick off, featuring discounts of up to a whopping 70% across all categories at its anniversary store!

Konga faces tough competition from Rocket Internet’s Jumia, which has launched in a number of African countries and plans to be the Amazon for the emerging markets.
