Connect Nigeria has postponed its 2014 business fair, “E-Business and the Growth of Your Enterprise II” to February 21st, 2015 due to the current Ebola outbreak as nations hit hard by the epidemic struggle to keep up.
The deadly disease has killed over 2000 people in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone and new cases have been reported in Nigeria and Senegal according to CNN.
The business fair, which was scheduled to hold on Saturday October 18, 2014 at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos and will still be held at the same venue next year.
The CEO, Mr. Emeka Okafor, offering sincere apologies for any inconveniences the postponement may cause intending participants and partners stated, “We commend the efforts of the federal and state governments in handling the recent health challenges and as a socially responsible organization, we have decided to move our annual business fair, where we anticipate over 5000 people from all over Nigeria and Africa in order not to hinder the wonderful work they are doing.
“We apologise to our sponsors, speakers and participants. We promise to work harder to make the next fair a bigger, healthier success.”
