HERE Maps For Android Come to More Smartphones

hand_androidAfter HERE for Android was launched on Samsung Galaxy smartphones the firm has now extend the launch to everyone with a compatible smartphone and anyone looking forward to the application can get it from here.com/beta/android.

Launched in beta, HERE for Android aims to get feedback to fix bugs and work on additional changes, at the moment the firm says it has discovered that some ‘cache cleaner’ apps accidentally delete the navigation voices in the HERE app and will release an update in the next weeks for it’s voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation.

Once you head to here.com/beta/android, tap on ‘Get the app now’,  confirm the download and choose where you want to save apk file (e.g. “Downloads”) then open a file manager and tap the directory that contains HERE_beta_175.apk. HERE for Android is also availabel on at ES file explorer, Astro file manager or File Expert.or just head to your Google Play Store then download it.
HERE for Android is compatible with Android 4.1 (‘Jelly Bean’) or greater and for best results use a smartphone with 1GB of RAM or more and a screen size between 4 to 6 inches.
