Samsung’s 4G enabled Galaxy S6 & Galaxy S6 edge launched in Kenya

kv-phonesSamsung has today launched its 6.8 mm/7.0mm edge and lightweight 138g /132g edge Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge respectively in the Kenyan market with the world’s first 14mm mobile processor promising great speeds, high perfomance and a longer battery life.

Running on a 64-bit platform, the smartphones promise higher performance and enhanced memory speed with lower power consumption, an unmatched mobile experience in Kenya.

The LTE Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge come in 32/64/128GB storage options and will be available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6 only) and Green Emerald (Galaxy S6 edge only).

With a timeless fluid design and outstanding beauty, the phones come with first-of-its-kind corning Gorilla glass 4 and a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen with a 577ppi pixel density-the highest in the smartphone market.

Both the 5MP front and 16MP rear camera comes with F1.9 lenses and high resolution sensors and have a“Quick Launch” feature to give users a fast, direct access to the camera.
Due to its WPC and PMA certified wireless charging technology, the phones charge 1.5 times faster than the Galaxy S5, providing about 4 hours of usage after only 10 minutes of charging.

For security, the phones have upgraded Samsung KNOX and will be sold in Samsung stores and Safaricom shops countrywide from tomorrow at just Ksh 74,000 to 90,000.Both phones will come with a free phone cover and Free Safaricom data of 1.5GB.
