  • Kaduda Smart, is a low-cost dual SIM smartphone targeted at lower end segment of the market and especially first-time smartphone users. The phone is available in black and white and its RRP is Ksh 3,999 in major Orange stores across the country.
  • The Kaduda Smart,  runs a stable  Android Lollipop version on a 1.3 GHz quad core processor. It has a 5MP main camera and a 2MP front camera. Kaduda Smart is the successor of two earlier brands Kaduda Selfie and Kaduda.

Kaduda Smart’s 1400 mAh battery is able to take a user an entire day minus charging on voice and Wi-Fi or cellular data. Heavy use of Wi-Fi or data for  email, photos, social media apps such as Twitter and Facebook and WhatsApp will drain the battery in less than four hours. KADUDA SMART also has a 5MP main camera which can help it taking photos in bright light. However, remember this is not a camera to take photos for Instagram or Facebook photos.  The Kaduda Smart comes with an FM radio, adding one more entertainment medium to the cost conscious Kaduda Smartphone buyer.
  • For mobility, the Kaduda has a 4 inch screen, just good enough for calls, SMS, IM, Facebook among other networking apps. However, the screen is not suitable for movies or videos. The screen is just made for WhatsApp, Facebook, email, Telegram among others.
  •  Users still get the Android experience on the Kaduda Smart because it runs Android Lollipop which light, fast and easier to use.
  • Being a low-end smartphone, the display resolution is not as great as one would want their smartphone to be. Because images are made of Pixels one can easily see the dots making up an image making most videos and images blurry, disqualifying the phone from photography and media consumption.
  • At Ksh 4,000, buyer should not compare this phone to an iPhone or other premium devices. It is a simple smartphone aiming to help as many people as possible to have the smartphone experience. Donwload apps and share them with their friends online. The smartphone has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and is not as fast. The user should not open more than four apps at the same time as allowing apps to run in the background will slow the phone down and even cause it hang.. Its 512MB RAM makes it even harder to load heavy programs such as games among others Any heavy games will stall the processor and the phone will hang until it can be restarted.
