BlackBerry has been in the rumor mill for a while now. Yesterday, it finally got launched but to the surprise of many, the company behind it goes by the name BB Merah Putih. It is of Indonesian origin and has the license to make phones bearing the Blackberry brand name but only for that country. As we had started earlier in the Blackberry Keyone unveiling, TCL also has the license to distribute berries for most parts of the world.
Indonesia is a unique country since Blackberry had a huge demand in that country.  Even before the TCL deal, Blackberry phones still continued to be sold in that region.
Back to the Aurora, it comes 5.5 inch 720p, Snapdragon 425 coupled with 4Gb RAM which are enough to push the Android 7.0  and DTEK software preloaded in the phone. The camera section is endowed with 13MP rear sensor and a 8MP front facing one. Keeping the lights on is a 3,000 mAH battery. Surprisingly, it is the first Blackberry to feature dual SIM capability.
At the moment, the phone is available for pre-order in Indonesia at a low price of $260 (KES 26,000). We can only hope that these iterations won’t dilute the values that once defined BlackBerry
