The Ajira Digital is an initiative from the government to help Kenyans get jobs online. By logging in on www.ajiradigital.go.ke, users will be able to post and get jobs if one meets the qualifications.

For those who would like to get certified, the government is conducting training sessions that started today in major towns across the country. The free of charge training will go for one week which will be inclusive of full-board accommodation. Ajira Digital advises people to enroll for training through their website as soon as possible as there are only limited slots for the June 2017 class. Some of the institutions offering the tutoring include KEMI at Parklands, Cooperative College at Meru, Tom Mboya Labour College at Kisumu and Kenyatta University Mombasa Campus just to name a few.

Outsourced resources have been tapped from globally recognized learning platforms such as Udemy.com and Lynda.com.

So far more than 40,000 Kenyans have registered as users on the Ajira Digital platform. With the introduction of free training, that number is expected to go up. Anybody with an Internet connection can now start earning from the comfort of their homes. In case of poor connectivity issues, there was talks of constituency hubs where users can work from but the details of this being implemented are still unconfirmed. In the meantime, get online, book your free training and start earning.
