The Infinix Note series is popular for its long battery life, in fact it is one of the most successful product lines of that company. They have even started importing some of its features to their other offerings such as the 4000mAh battery on the Infinix Hot 4. Now that the Infinix Note 3 and its Pro brother have been around for long enough, their successor is finally here with us.

Meet the new deign of the Infinix Note 4, the fingerprint scanner is now mounted at the front, the back is curved and shiny.

Meet the Infinix Note 4, it just went on sale at Jumia Kenya with a brand new design and internals. The design has a 2.5D curved glass, like on the Infinix Zero 4, but with a new curved back cover that they are calling ‘metal print’.  It looks amazing and seems to reflect light in a way that gives a shiny polished premium look. The device not only has a rear design that slightly resembles the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, it also has an X Pen accessory that is sold separately; the pen coincidentally looks like the S Pen. However, the X pen does not have a hide-away slot on the phone unlike the Galaxy Note 5.

The new Note 4’s screen has been shrunk to 5.7inches from the previous 6 inches. Resolution, however, remains at Full HD (1080p) with a display that goes up to 500 nits of brightness ensuring better sunlight visibility, below the screen is the front mounted fingerprint scanner. Powering the device is an unnamed octa-core processor but clues lead to a Mediatek 6753 chipset, the same one on the Note 3, it is powerful and affordable enough to strike the right balance of value. In addition, the device incorporates 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that is expandable to 128 GB. The camera department hosts a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8MP front facing shooter.

Infinix seems to be most proud of their achievement with the battery, after all, the Note series is all about longevity, they have equipped the phone with a whopping 4,300mAh battery. It can takes only 5 minutes of charging to give 2 hours of call time or 6 hours of offline music playback; plug it in for 30 minutes and you will get 45% charge; this impressive numbers are capable thanks to the great X Charge technology on-board.

There seems to be a sandstone rear casing version too

The phone is available right now at Jumia for only KSh 13,999 which is quite reasonable considering the what you get with the overall package. Sales at normal brick and mortar stores are set to start soon too but for now, only Jumia has the exclusivity.
