If you are active on social media, emojis are part of your everyday life. We use them for all manner of things. Apparently, emojis have become so popular that they have their own World Day.

Apple decided to celebrate World Emoji Day by showing some of the emoji’s that are coming later this year on iOS, macOS and watchOS. Some of these emojis include Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding. There are also new food items such as Sandwich and Coconut. More animals and mythical creatures have been added like T-Rex, Zebra, Zombie and Elf. Finally we have my favorite, an Exploding Head and new Star-Struck smiley face.

You may have noticed that most of the recent emojis are trying to cover the diversity of the different cultures in the world, from skin color to clothing such as headscarfs and even mystical beings like elfs. We are looking forward to see these new emojis become available to   all platforms.
