Entries to Apply for the Apps Africa Innovation Awards Now Open

The AppsAfrica.com Innovation Awards celebrate the best in mobile and tech from across Africa supported by Mobile Monday South Africa and Mobile Ecosystem Forum (MEF) and are now accepting entries for 2017.

The third edition will take place on November 6th in Cape Town, and winners will get international recognition and publicity across multiple channels, networking with 300+ industry peers and a host of other benefits.

Last year saw an outstanding response with over 200 entries from 25 countries and 10 winners, which included BitPesa from Kenya, Domestly from South Africa, and Sliide Airtime from Nigeria, plus several other winners hailing from Zambia, Uganda and Tanzania.

The Appsafrica.com awards celebrate the positive impact in 12 categories, which include Disruptive Innovation Award, Best Social & Messaging Award, and Best African App Award, among others from ventures who can clearly demonstrate innovation using mobile or technology to meet the needs of any African market.

Finalists will be showcased in front of an audience of industry leaders and media at the Awards party with winners receiving a host of benefits, which include the AppsAfrica.com Innovation Award, global exposure across multiple media channels, exhibition space at Africa Tech Summit London (ATSLDN) 2018, global online publicity on AppsAfrica.com, in addition to various other perks.

The deadline for entries is September 10th, with the shortlisted finalists announced at the end of September 2017.

Award applications will be assessed by a team of expert judges who are selected based on their knowledge, influence and contribution to the improvement of technology and business in Africa.
