Safaricom reports M-Pesa interruptions on App and Mshwari

Safaricom has reported M-Pesa outages for customers who access M-Pesa through My Safaricom App, KCB M-Pesa, and Mshwari. Customers have since been advised to be patient as they work on a solution to restore the service.

“Please note that M-Pesa services on MYSafaricom App, Mshwari, and KCB M-Pesa are currently unavailable. We are working to restore all services as soon possible” the company said in a statement

Safaricom has since apologized and  assured its customers that the service will be available soon.  ” As an alternative. Customers can continue to access Mpesa services through the SIM Toolkit on the phone’s menu,” the company said.

Distraught customers had earlier in the afternoon took to Twitter to raise their concerns about the service while hoping it gets better soonest.
