Canva also aid in the branding of your own business. Colours are key to communicating your brand to your customers so it’s important to make sure you use the right colour to signal the message you want to get across. If this is something you’re perhaps unsure about, Canva run a series of blogs alongside their digital tools to help you in this department. If you’re stuck on defining your values, you can also check out our own Branding Canvas tool. Canva provides ready-made templates with certain colours that align with your message to assist with your branding. As well as this, they have a colour palette tool, which allows you to experiment more to find the colour to suit your brand.

4. Add stock images

As mentioned earlier, Canva provides millions of stock images that you can use free of charge to enhance your branding (you might need to upgrade to a premium account to get the full use of this feature). Simply click on ‘Photos’ on the left-hand side bar and search for the type image you’d like. There’s also the option to upload your own images through the upload tab towards the bottom of the bar on the left.

5. Auto resize your design to other dimensions

Another brilliant tool Canva offers is its auto resize function. Other design tools can become a hassle when working on designs in a certain dimension, which may need changing further down the line. This means you might have to do the work all over again to get it the right size. This isn’t the case with Canva. When working on a design that needs resizing to other dimensions, simply click the ‘Resize’ button in the light blue bar at the top of the screen, choose the dimensions you need and let it do the work for you. It’s worth noting that this is a feature of Canva Pro.
