Mastercard and visa have terminated the use of their cards on PornHub.
Have you been on PornHub recently? well, in case you’ve tried making payments there with your card you need to know that you no longer can. If you don’t engage in this activity then you’re in the wrong place.
A columnist and author noted the change and tweeted:
MasterCard sent out an official statement and wrote:
“Today, the use of our cards at Pornhub is being terminated. Our investigation over the past several days confirms violations of our standards prohibiting unlawful content. We continue to investigate potential illegal content on other websites.”
Why did this happen?
A few weeks ago, a 15-year-old girl went missing in Florida. Unfortunately, her mother found her on Pornhub, in 58 sex videos.
Sexual assaults on a 14-year-old California girl were posted on Pornhub and were reported to the authorities and not by the company but by a classmate.
In each case, offenders were arrested for the assaults, but Pornhub escaped responsibility for sharing the videos and profiting from them.
The fact that pornhub made profits using the girls videos led to MasterCard disassociating them from the company completely. This means that members who subscribed to the premium one will no longer be able to receive any of their platinum treatment.
So, will pornhub be forced to take stern actions against the child abusers?
