Play Zuri Health, a Kenyan startup, has launched Zuri Health, a mobile app that aims to provide certified, affordable, and accessible healthcare solutions via mobile.
Zuri Health allows users to book appointments with any doctor or hospital in their area, order lab tests, communicate with practitioners via message or video, and request home visits.
The app includes an SMS feature that allows it to reach a large range of people who don’t have access to WAP or internet-enabled devices.
“Zuri Health is very personal to me. Millions of people in Africa do not have access to quality medical care. At Zuri Health we have taken time to develop a product that will fill that gap, giving doctors a wider and easier platform to reach patients who need them. With Zuri Health the underserved populace can now access affordable and sustainable healthcare,” said Arthur Ikechukwu Anoke, chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of Zuri Health.
Over 20,000 registered doctors, 250,000 premium users, and at least one million mobile downloads are all part of the company’s three-year growth goal
