While Michelle Obama stole the show during the inauguration with her long curled hair and larger than life attire, Bernie Sanders chose comfort, and everybody noticed.
Ms Obama, who kept her hair down and curled, accessorised the look with a raspberry belt, featuring an oversized gold buckle, black leather gloves and a black mask.

While Bernie opted for a more practical clothing choice and is now the centre of a seemingly endless flood of altered pictures that dominated some corners of the internet in the hours after Mr. Biden’s socially distanced inauguration on Wednesday.
Amid the dark suits and bright coats dotting the Capitol steps, Mr. Sanders was photographed sitting masked, cross-legged and bundled up in a bulky coat and mittens against the frigid weather in Washington, D.C. Soon after, the image, taken by the photographer Brendan Smialowski for Getty Images, began to circulate on social media inserted into a wide array of photographs and scenes from movies and artworks.
Despite his simplicity, several people who took a closer look at the image were influenced to buy similar mittens. The Vermont school teacher behind the cozy mittens worn by Senator Bernie Sanders during President Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday said she’s been flooded with requests from people wanting to buy a pair. But they’re no longer for sale.
