Hooray! You can now restore your deleted images on Instagram.
Currently you can restore your instastories by looking at your archives and that would be enough. You can also archive your images instead of deleting the images, but if you choose to restore posts your content will be stored in a recently deleted folder for a period of time.
Thereafter you can choose to either restore or delete permanently. It’s basically the same concept that Google drive has, so if you ended up deleting your boyfriend’s images and you want them back up you can resuscitate the photo.
Why should you celebrate?
Imagine a time when you created great content then suddenly you deleted some content be it stories, reels, IGTV or even normal videos but you can restore any of it when you’d like to?
However, there’s one exception! if you happen to have instastories that did not run for 24 hours the stories will be archived but will be deleted after that.
You can access your deleted content in the Instagram app by going to Settings > Account > Recently Deleted.
Although such new additions sound small countless of users have complained over time about the content they could not retrieve. Influencers have also complained that their inability to recover content and there would be no way to undo the damage.
Getting hacked is always unnerving regardless of whether any content is lost, but at least it will be marginally less devastating now.
