At Nokia, the distribution of the Android 11 update is slow to get going. Now the manufacturer is releasing a new schedule for the rollout.

According to the new Press Release, Various mobile phones will receive an update by the end of the year. It is uncertain when the Finnish Manufacturer will roll out android 12 for Nokia smartphones.

Other manufacturers of phones with Android have distributed the latest operating system, Android 11, quite quickly, while Nokia and HMD Global, the manufacturer of Nokia phones, are still lagging. Now the manufacturer publishes an updated distribution schedule.

As early as October 2020, Nokia released an updated schedule for Android 11. According to this, the Nokia 8.3 5G should receive the operating system as early as q4 2020. However, users had to wait until February 2021 for the update.

As reported by the technology blog XDA Developers, the remaining phones will receive Android 11 by the end of this year. The distribution has initially been scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2021.

So it may take some time before you, as a Nokia user, get the update to Android 11. After all, the manufacturer has primarily kept the now published schedule and has already updated seven more mobile phones after the Nokia 8.3.

Nokia does not give any reason for the delayed distribution. On the phones, you will find a “pure” Android 11. The Finnish company does not develop its user interface. The company was also one of the fastest distributors for distributing Android 10.

The new operating system, Android 12, is scheduled to be released in the fall. Whether and when Nokia will distribute it is currently uncertain.
