After prolonged abstinence, Xiaomi is planning a comeback on Android tablets. Now some interesting information about the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 (Pro) has appeared. Here, one is strongly oriented towards the competition from Apple. Xiaomi takes up the fight with a 120-hertz display and a strong battery.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 (Pro): Tablet with 120-Hertz display

The list of tablets that rely on a refresh rate of 120 Hertz is quite manageable. In addition to Apple’s iPad Pro (2021), only the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus has presented itself in this area. With the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 (Pro), a second Android tablet is now on the way, in which, according to a leak, the increased refresh rate for smooth scrolling is set.

The Chinese manufacturer has taken inspiration from Apple’s iPad Pro in terms of optics, which is particularly evident on the front. The camera module on the back, on the other hand, relies on its design. A selfie camera in the display itself has been dispensed with. Instead, the front-facing camera can be found within the frame of the tablet.

The Pro version of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 appears to use the Snapdragon 870 processor. In the standard version, however, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 was reportedly chosen. There is currently no information on the working and fixed memory of the two models. The size of the display is also pending.

The two tablets are expected to be released in July 2021. The standard version is currently expected to be around 50,554.09 Kenyan Shilling, although this sum is probably only relevant for the Chinese home market.
