Samsung is planning a significant update to its famous Galaxy A-series range of devices. As per the rumours concerning the Galaxy A73, It may arrive on our markets with an advanced Camera sensor.
Samsung Galaxy A series phones enjoy great popularity because of their Strong performance. In addition to the cheaper Galaxy A32 & A42 models, the current Galaxy A52 and A72 have made quite successful sales in various markets. With a successor(Galaxy A73) expected in 2022, Samsung is busy working on advanced cameras currently for this model. The mobile phone in the mid-range smartphone segment will be equipped with a 108MP high-resolution primary sensor, according to the South Korean portal TheElec.
If the successor to the Galaxy A72 received the primary camera with a 108 MP sensor, Samsung would give the Galaxy A73 a significant upgrade over the currently used 64 MP camera. Until now, sensors with such high resolution at Samsung were reserved only for flagship models. For the first time, the company installed the 108 MP camera in the Galaxy S20 Ultra. This resolution has also been used in the latest flagships. Whether Samsung uses the” ISOCELL HM3 ” on the sensor used in the Galaxy S21 Ultra or chooses an older variant remains to be seen.
In addition, it is not yet clear which lenses the Galaxy A73 will receive. Until now, the upper mid-range models could distinguish themselves from the cheaper devices, among other things, by existing optical image stabilization. However, as the portal further reports, the South Korean manufacturer plans for all remaining Galaxy A models. With a 108 MP sensor at the flagship level, you could stand out again.
Even though the jump to a high-resolution sensor is a welcome and necessary upgrade for models at the upper end of the middle class, Samsung is certainly not the first manufacturer to bet on it. Above all, the Chinese competition already offers price-performance smartphones with such cameras: for example, the Xiaomi Note 10 Pro, which costs less than KSH 30,000, the Realme 8 Pro or even the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Ultimately, however, a 108 MP sensor does not guarantee a massive leap in quality images on mobile phones in this price range. So we can be curious how well Samsung is implementing its plan.
