Guess which smartphone is currently hanging at the top of the AnTuTu charts in September? A new Xiaomi flagship grabs the top place in October – with a lead of roughly 2%. Meanwhile, Qualcomm’s edge in the mid-range continues to grow.
The RedMagic 6S Pro topped the AnTuTu benchmark ratings in September. Still, the brand new Xiaomi Black Shark 4S Pro, which packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus into a 9.9 millimetre thick, 220-gram smartphone, has moved it to second place. The smartphone is 2.3 percent ahead of the previous top, with an 875,902 point rating.
This is likely because the Black Shark 4S Pro has UFS 3.1 memory. In October, smartphones with a variation of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 will dominate the top 10, but that will change shortly when only the Snapdragon 898 and the Samsung Exynos 2200 become available.
In October, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 780G held more top 10 positions in the mid-range rankings than ever before. The iQOO Z5, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Youth Edition, the Xiaomi Civi, the Honor 50 Pro, and the Honor 50 take the top spots. Only the Oppo Reno6 5G based on the MediaTek Dimensity 900, which is not equipped with a Qualcomm processor, is in the sixth position.
