Apple files a complaint against NSO; the group longer targets iPhones

Apple has launched a lawsuit against NSO Group, the firm behind the Pegasus spyware. The Cupertino firm is now accusing them of using Pegasus spyware. This comes after the likes of Facebook, Google and Microsoft complained about the same subject.

Apple argues that NSO Group takes no account of its technology, which is installed on the iPhones of very users. The Cupertino firm expects that by filing this case, NSO Group would prohibit the use of its products, systems, and technology. Apple seems to be poorly irritated as the firm further wants compensation from  NSO Group for transmitting malware without informing victims by using Apple IDs.

In addition to the lawsuit, Apple declared its support for cyber spying research groups by providing $ 10 million, data, and Technical assistance to Citizen Lab and Amnesty Tech to pursue their work for free.

Ron Deibert, the director of Citizen Lab, praised Apple for “holding them NSO Group accountable for their crimes” and expressed hope that “Apple will help to bring justice to all people who have been victims of NSO Group’s reckless actions.”
