The Cupertino firm will be forced to abandon aging iPhones and iPads to introduce more sophisticated features to its Next series of Operating systems. For the iOS 15 and it is latter, the manufacturer has not blocked its iPhones from getting the latest upgrades but come the following year, with the release of iOS 16, its game plan will be very different.

In 2022 not everyone will be able to use iOS 16. As per information from iPhone soft, three models that have served their time will not install iOS 16.These includes :

  • iPhone 6s
  •  iPhone 6s Plus
  • iPhone SE 2016 models

Parallel to iOS 16, Apple will release iPadOS 16, a software upgrade for its iPads. Some of the prohibited iPads include :

  •  iPad Air 2
  • iPad 5
  • iPad Pro 9.7, 12.9 inches

For example, in Kenya, iOS 16 might arrive with version 2.0 of the Plans app, which has been accessible in the US since 2019. It is impossible to predict or at least give out the accurate details of this new update. On the Good side, though, we should expect features linked to augmented reality and virtual reality because Apple is slated to release a mixed reality headset next year
