The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi recently gave us its 2022 flagship smartphones. However, the launch was only done in China. The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 pro are smartphones launched on December 28th, 2021.
At the moment, the listing discovered in Indonesian gives a clear indication of what the manufacturer is planning behind our backs. The Xiaomi 12 (model number 2201123G) and Xiaomi 12 Pro (model 2201122G) were successfully discovered from the website.
As a reminder…
A timeframe of early February predicts that Xiaomi may also launch their smartphones here in Kenya, but hey, let us wait for further clarification from Xiaomi Kenya. The two high-end gadgets are available in two different configurations. The first has a 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, while the other has a QHD+ display with a 6.73-inch diagonal. On the other hand, both run at 120 Hz and feature a center punch with a 32-megapixel camera.
Something to smile about is that both models run on Qualcomm’s latest chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and can be customized with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The Xiaomi 12 has a 4,500 mAh rechargeable battery with 67 W wired and 50 W wireless power. With an appropriate charger, the 12 Pro can reach 4,600 mAh and be recharged at 120 W.
Finally, the first smartphone has a 50-megapixel wide-angle (1/1.56″) camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (1/3.06″) camera, and a 5-megapixel telemacro camera. A trio of 50 megapixel sensors is used in the Xiaomi 12 Pro, including a better-made wide-angle (1/1.28″) and a 2x telephoto lens.
