LG announced its new range of Gram laptops with better features than the previous generations a couple of days ago. The content adds in three sizes of 17, 16, and 14 inches. They will be outfitted with the latest Intel Alder Lake CPUs to improve performance.
This year the LG Gram 17, 16, and 14 inches will be equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU. LG has not yet specified which specific CPUs will be available, but they will be combined with a maximum of 32 GB of RAM, LPDDR5 clocking at 5200 MHz.
Another important novelty in this range is faster NVMe Gen 4 SSDs. The manufacturer has officially announced the inclusion of a new Full HD webcam available on all three versions instead of the usual 720p camera in the previous year. In addition, Face recognition will be possible with Windows Hello on the latter, a feature we were expecting on the LG Gram 2021, but it didn’t.
Apart from the features remain almost the same in the new LG Grams. They have quite similar connections, chassis, and batteries as their predecessors. The parts are two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, an HDMI output, a headphone connection, and a microSD card reader. For the display, we have the usual QHD+ IPS panels for the 17 and 16-inch variants and a Full HD+ IPS screen for the 14-inch device, as we were last year.
LG has not yet hinted about the price, but one thing is that depending on the models and specifications selected, the respective prices will vary.
