Elon Musk keeps making cheesy jokes and memes on Twitter.
He tweeted about his impending death this time. Musk, who has been more active than normal with his erratic tweets since purchasing Twitter for $44 billion, tweeted on Sunday night that he may die in “strange circumstances.” However, this time he got a response from his mother, Maye Musk, who also has a sizable Twitter following.
Musk, one of the world’s wealthiest men, occasionally talks about using pot at Twitter’s board meetings, and other times he wants to purchase Coca-Cola and put cocaine in it. He now jokes about his mystery demise in one of his most recent tweets. His mother, too, was not amused.
Earlier on Sunday night, billionaire Musk tweeted:
“if I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya.”
Mom’s tweet got the attention of Musk. He instantly apologized for his tweet and replied, though probably still as a joke. “Sorry! I will do my best to stay alive,” he said.
But, while Musk is in the middle of a major purchase, why is he now talking about his death?
The Twitter acquisition is likely to finalize this year. Following this, Musk might become the interim CEO of Twitter, replacing Parag Agarwal. The Tesla CEO’s strange demise comes only a day after he revealed a memo supposedly delivered to him by former Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin accusing Musk of collaborating with Nazis.
The Tesla CEO also alleged that the director of the Kremlin space agency issued a message to Russian media saying Musk is responsible for arming “fascists.”
Musk may not be popular in Russia right now since he donated Starlink gear to Ukraine to enable the Ukrainian government to stay connected to the rest of the world and the internet during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“From the testimony of the captured chief of staff of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Dmitry Kormyankov, it follows that the ground-based subscriber equipment of the Starlink satellite company Elon Musk was delivered to the militants of the Nazi Azov Battalion and the Marines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Mariupol by military helicopters,” the note (translated from Ukraine) shared by Musk stated.
“According to our information, the delivery and transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine of PO boxes for receiving and transmitting the Internet from Starlink was carried out by the Pentagon. Elon Musk is thus involved in the supply of fascist forces in Ukraine with military communications. And for this you will have to answer in an adult way, Elon, no matter how you turn on the fool,” the note further read.
Musk had previously promised a speedy implementation of Starlink services in Ukraine when Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, requested it.
Fedorov had said, “@elonmusk , while you try to colonize Mars – Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space – Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand.” In just a day, Starlink service was made available in the country.
