Apple is looking at the display technology used by e-readers, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Still, he believes that this screen would be an excellent choice for folding iPhones.
Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple ecosystem analyst, remarked about E-ink display technology on Twitter today. The guy is progressing, and the Cupertino company is presently testing this display form.
This technology, also known as Electronic Paper Display (EPD), is currently mostly employed in the consumer market to outfit e-readers. On the latter, the display’s visual depiction is closer to paper, providing better reading comfort than a traditional screen.
Ming-Chi Kuo says in his tweet that an EPD color screen, as part of the iPhone, has the ability to equip a folding iPhone. Indeed, this sort of device’s low energy consumption is ideal for this, particularly when maximizing the device’s autonomy.
