*Some Apple Watches’ batteries will be able to be calibrated thanks to the watchOS 9 upgrade.

*Both the Series 4 and Series 5 Apple Watches are impacted.

For everyone who will be able to use the next watchOS 9 update, good news. The new operating system approved by Apple will be in charge of recalibrating the battery on the Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5 to achieve a better estimate of the maximum capacity.

Concisely, this means that, with the introduction of watchOS 9, the affected Apple Watches will display a battery life that is significantly more accurate now. If this is a first for the Apple Watch line, the procedure had already been executed on an iPhone 11 running iOS 14.5 in the past.

Remember that the watchOS 9 upgrades were unveiled at Apple’s recent WWDC 2022 and that an Apple Watch Series 4 or later is a minimum requirement for installation.

A new edition emphasizes the user’s health and sport, with updated heart rate calculations and new runner data.

WatchOS 9 will be available to the general public at the end of this year in 2022, now available in beta.
