Xiaomi has announced the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition. It is currently unclear whether this is the expected Redmi K50S Pro, which supposedly leaves an impression of its performance with AnTuTu, including Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1.
Now Xiaomi has released a new teaser on Weibo, announcing the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition launch. This should take place already this month, that is, in August 2022. As GizmoChina mentions, the model may arrive with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the current flagship chipset from Qualcomm.
This chipset is also expected for the supposed Redmi K50S Pro, which, according to a past teaser from Xiaomi, has already been simmered through the rumor mill under the name Redmi K50 Ultra. With model number 22081212C, the device had already shown itself in various places and leaks and revealed some specifications.
Now, this model number has appeared at AnTuTu and has once again proven the performance of the Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1. Whether the expected Redmi K50S Pro or Redmi K50 Ultra is the newly announced Redmi K50 Extreme Edition or not is currently unclear.
Since today’s announcement, it is only clear that Xiaomi will introduce a new smartphone of the Redmi brand in China in the next almost four weeks, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1. If this is the expected Redmi K50S Pro, a 200-megapixel camera should also be on board.
