At IFA 2022, which is still ongoing today up to September 5th, Sony has Officially formalized its latest flagship product into the Markert. The phone on Sony’s table is non-other than the Sony Xperia 5 IV.
The gadget markered price is 1049 euros and is offered in three colours (black, green, and ecru white), will be on sale later in September.
As far as the technical specifications of this product are put forward, we discovered a 6.1-inch Full HD + OLED screen that supports 120 Hz and has dual IP68 / IP65 certification for protection from water and dust.
Sony has not commented on any hardware enhancements for the rear sensors of its new smartphone in its press statement. Thus three 12 MP modules should be there. In contrast, the front sensor has increased from 8 Mpx to 12 Mpx to provide more detailed selfies.
The model also captures at 4K/120 frames per second to more effectively simulate slow motion up to five times. The Xperia 5 IV may now be connected to a Sony Alpha hybrid camera and used as an external monitor.
Under the hood, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, which is uncommon for smartphones in 2022. The battery is going from 4500 mAh to 5000 mAh, as was already announced, and Sony announced adopting a battery sharing system. The Xperia 5 IV will support wireless charging for the first time in this line of smartphones, and we will be able to reclaim 50% of our battery life after 30 minutes of charging.
