Redmi A1+ Launches in India with Helio A22 SoC and 5,000 mAh Battery

Xiaomi’s Redmi has been released in India after the Redmi A1 which was launched last month. It borrows a lot from its predecessor aside from the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3GB RAM option.

The phone runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 12 (Go Edition) and is powered by the Helio A22 SoC. It has a large display system comprising a 6.52″ HD+ screen with a notch for the 5MP selfie camera. The back side sports a dual camera system comprising an 8MP primary camera and a QVGA unit. It is made of a leather texture that houses the fingerprint scanner.

It has a large battery of 5,000 mAh that supports charging through a micro-USB port of up to 10W. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 512GB.

The new phone in two memory configurations of  2GB/32GB, which retails at $91, and 3GB/32GB priced at $103. The two devices will however retail at a discount of $6 due to the ongoing Diwali celebration for a specific period.
