Paxful, a global peer-to-peer finance platform that enables people to make payments, transactions, and send money through buying and selling Bitcoin as a medium of exchange has appointed Roshan Dharia as its new Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Mr Dharia will take on the day-to-day leadership of the company, focusing on strengthening operations and exploring strategic alternatives.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr Dharia stated that becoming the CEO of Paxful is a great honour.
He acknowledged Paxful’s role, “As a pioneer in demonstrating the practical applications of Bitcoin over the past eight years, benefiting millions of individuals.”
Mr Dharia looks forward to quickly immersing himself in the role and leveraging the innovative technology developed by the Paxful team.
Before joining the crypto-firm, Mr Dharia served as a senior executive at TrustToken (now known as Archblock). In this position, he successfully oversaw the DeFi institutional lending business, deploying over $1.5 billion in stablecoin loans to crypto-native companies.
He also founded and built PTHL Affiliates, an investment platform specializing in acquiring and reviving distressed private companies across multiple industries.
“With extensive experience as an investor and investment banker, Mr Dharia has been involved in transactions totalling over $30 billion, including mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings, and financings. He excels in navigating complex situations with inherent risks and significant intrinsic value.”
Srinivas Raju, the Custodian of Paxful, expressed his delight at Dharia’s appointment and his assumption of the CEO role.

Since its establishment in 2015, Paxful has experienced remarkable growth, amassing a community of over 12 million users worldwide. The platform has facilitated billions of dollars in trades over the past eight years.
