Despite conquering the challenging interview process with his youthful enthusiasm, Kairan was surprised to discover that LinkedIn, the renowned job search website, had deleted his account due to his age. Now, he’s wondering how he managed to secure one of the world’s most sought-after engineering positions without access to the popular networking platform.

He expressed his unhappiness about the same on Instagram as he wrote:
“@linkedin just sent me this notice that they are deleting my account because I’m not 16. This is the illogical, primitive nonsense that I face constantly. I can be qualified enough to land one of the most coveted engineering jobs in the world but not qualified enough to have access to a professional social media platform. @LinkedIn showing everyone how regressive some tech company policies are. Can people please share this screenshot on their LinkedIn for me and ask people to connect with me on Instagram?” he said in the caption along with a screenshot.

In a recent screenshot, Kairan Quazi received a message from LinkedIn informing him that his account has been “restricted” due to not meeting the minimum age requirement for the network. The message further mentioned that once he reaches the age of 16, he will have the opportunity to rejoin the platform. Additionally, LinkedIn expressed their apologies by cancelling Kairan’s Premium subscription and issuing a refund for any charges he may have incurred.
