Medic East Africa and MedLab East Africa to host region’s largest medical exhibition in Nairobi

Leading healthcare exhibitions such as Arab Health, FIME, Africa Health, and Medlab Middle East– Informa Markets have announced the start of Medic East Africa and Medlab East Africa 2023 exhibitions.

These events will take place at Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya, from September 11th to 13th, 2023.

Under the theme of “Redefining healthcare delivery in East Africa,” the event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Health Kenya.

“Its goal is to bring together healthcare communities from around the world to enhance healthcare delivery and shape the future of healthcare in East Africa,” noted the organizers.

The event aims to attract more than 5,000 healthcare and laboratory professionals from across the globe, making it the largest healthcare exhibition in East Africa.

Over 150 renowned global brands from 20 countries, including Abbott, Snibe Diagnostics, Crown Healthcare, and more, will be showcased.

Participating countries include France, Greece, Italy, Romania, Cyprus, Switzerland, Türkiye, Kenya, China, India, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

Key regional healthcare organizations like the Kenyan Healthcare Federation, the Association of Clinical Pathologists, the Surgical Society, the Medical Association, and the National Public Health Institute will also participate in the event.

In addition to the exhibition, a congress will be held, featuring the Healthcare Summit 2.0 conference and the Laboratory educational sessions conference tracks.

“These conferences will provide a collaborative environment for healthcare and laboratory professionals, policymakers, researchers, and technology experts to discuss challenges and opportunities in improving health systems.”

Distinguished regional and international experts will share insights and best practices on Healthcare Excellence, Public Health, and Equity, addressing healthcare challenges in the region.

Notable speakers include Adama Thiam from the World Heal Organization (WHO), Dr Muthoni Karanja from the Department of Defense Kenya, Gerald Macharia the Chairman of KNPHI, and Aaron K Mulaki from the African Constituency Bureau for the Global Fund.

Medic East Africa and Medlab East Africa Exhibition Director Tom Coleman stated, “With the growing healthcare and laboratory industries in East Africa, Medic East Africa and Medlab East Africa will showcase the latest innovations and technologies driving the industry forward in the region. It will also serve as a platform for professionals to connect and discuss the latest industry trends.”

The convention will provide a platform for industry professionals to engage in trade and business-sharing activities.

It will promote interaction and trade among C-level management from hospitals, leading manufacturers, government professionals, investors, dealers, and distributors.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore nine dedicated product sectors, including medical equipment and devices, imaging and diagnostics, disposables and consumer goods, healthcare and general services, medical laboratory, and wellness and prevention.

The exhibitions will be free to attend for healthcare and laboratory professionals, as well as investors, from the East African region who have a strong interest in healthcare delivery.
