Nigeria has initiated the 3MTT program as a part of its strategy to cultivate a total of 3 million technical talents in the country by the year 2025.
The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMoCDE) stated, “In line with our ambition to nurture 3 million technical talents by 2025, we have introduced the 3MTT program.”
Dr Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, emphasized that this program plays a crucial role in FMoCDE’s mission to transform into a net exporter of talent and significantly enhance the nation’s digital economy.
“In this prototype phase, we are now inviting applications from training organizations to educate 30,000 tech talents nationwide over the next three months,” Dr Tijani explained while noting that, “This initiative will be conducted in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as the Ministry of Communications seeks to design the most efficient approach for delivering technical training to upcoming cohorts.”
According to Dr Tijani, this represents a unique opportunity to participate in the pioneering group of organizations and individuals contributing to Nigeria’s National Digital Transformation journey.
