LinkedIn has introduced a cutting-edge AI chatbot, branding it as a “job seeker coach,” and also unveiled additional generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for its Premium users.

These releases coincide with LinkedIn’s announcement that it has surpassed the milestone of 1 billion members.

In recent months, the company owned by Microsoft has been strengthening its commitment to tools such as automated recruiter messages, AI-generated job descriptions, and suggestions for enhancing user profiles.

The brand-new AI chatbot, powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4, has gradually been introduced to select Premium users since Wednesday.

The primary objective is to spare users from the need to wade through extensive content, such as lengthy articles or numerous videos.

“The tool is designed to consolidate essential insights, which users can then utilize for their personal career development,” LinkedIn noted.

This summarization experience also harnesses Microsoft Bing to provide users with up-to-the-minute and comprehensive information about current world events.

Users can inquire about specific topics and receive relevant resources from both the LinkedIn platform and the wider web.

These innovative AI-enabled tools expand upon the existing exclusive features for LinkedIn Premium members, including AI-assisted profile creation, signals for top job choices, and more.

These new features will be made available to LinkedIn subscribers at no extra charge. If you wish to explore these features firsthand, you can either take advantage of a one-month free trial of LinkedIn Premium or opt for a LinkedIn Premium Career account, priced at $39.99 per month.
