Earlier this year, Galaxy AI made its debut alongside the Galaxy S24 series, and as promised, Samsung is poised to extend this experience to millions of other Galaxy users worldwide.

Today, Galaxy AI has commenced its rollout to selected smartphones and tablets through the One UI 6.1 update. Eligible devices for Galaxy AI include all of the company’s flagship models from 2023, comprising the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S23 FE, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

Rather than keeping Galaxy AI exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series to entice consumers to purchase its latest flagship, Samsung is embracing existing users. Despite this, certain non-AI features within One UI 6.1 will remain exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series due to hardware constraints. However, all AI features available to Galaxy S24 owners since the beginning of the year will be accessible to Samsung’s 2023 flagship users.

Galaxy AI brings some next gen features which include real-time text and call translations, intelligent summarization of texts, notes, and web content, transcription and summarization of voice recordings, writing assistance in messaging and other communication apps, advanced object manipulation in photos, and instant Google searches using simple gestures. Galaxy AI can also generate personalized wallpapers and convert standard videos into slow-motion clips.

Those who own either a Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, or Galaxy Tab S9, can expect to receive a notification for the One UI 6.1 update soon. While availability may vary by country initially, all the advanced features of Galaxy AI will available within the next two weeks.
